WORLD MASTERS ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS 8-16 LUGLIO Vieste celebrates the Sprint World Champions in orienteering Over 35 titles are assigned on the 3km track in the beautiful historic center of the Gargano area. Only one day of recovery and then the 3 thousand orienteers from 40 countries will move in Foresta Umbra to compete in the Middle (13-14 July) and Long (16 July) races

WORLD MASTERS ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS 8-16 JULY In the historic center of Peschici orienteers from all over the world to conquer the Sprint qualifications Over 3,000 35 athletes from 40 countries took to the field for the first race of the international kermesse. Appointment on Monday 11 July in Vieste with the final for the assignment of the Sprint distance titles. It will continue on 13-14 July with the Middle and on 16 July with the Long in Foresta Umbra.

The World Masters Orienteering Championships 2022 will be officially open with the opening ceremony parade and spectacle on Saturday 9th July. The ceremony will begin at 18:00 with the national flags parade from Vieste Port HERE (make sure to be there on time to be part of the parade). The Parade will follow the route marked on the map below to reach the square of Marina Piccola HERE where the opening ceremony will start at 18:30. For the Sprint races competitors should take the bus 2h before their start. Forest races competitor should take the bus 2h30′  before their start. For example with a start time of 11:30, the athlete must take the bus at 09:00All WMOC Buses will departure from Vieste Bus Terminal HEREYou must show the bus bracelet and the number bib to access the WMOC Buses. Passengers must wear a face mask on the bus. Return buses 

WMOC Bulletin 2 Addendum is online – 1 day! We are ready to welcome you to Gargano and to WMOC 2022. The Event Centre will be in Vieste, inside the Scuola Media Statale Don Antonio Spalatro (41.881910, 16.169501). Cars may be parked at the official WMOC 2022 parking area next to the Bus Terminal in Vieste (41.886125, 16.167761) and from there it is possible to reach the Event Centre on foot by following the marked route (0.5 km, approximately 6 minutes walk). The Event Centre Opening times 8th July  from 10:00 to 20:00 9th July from 09:00 to 18:00

Everything is ready for the awaited start of the World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMCO), the over 35 orienteering World Championships presented this morning in the Sala Di Jeso of the Palazzo of the Presididenza of the Puglia Region in Bari, where from 8 to 16 July will compete in the evocative landscapes of the Gargano.
